Maths Puzzle Day
The children at St Michael’s arrived at school on Tuesday (4 November) expecting a normal day of lessons, unaware of the exciting and energetic learning experience awaiting them in the form of a whole school puzzle day! Each child from Nursery to Form 6, in mixed year groups, was given the opportunity to take part in a variety of tactile, hands-on challenges, which developed in difficulty as the day and age of child progressed.
Every single child was ‘on task’ from start to finish and by the end of the each group’s time the children had a renewed understanding of the importance of teamwork, and determination to work together to conquer the problem solving challenges presented on a day-to-day basis at home, school and within Maths specifically. A fantastic day!
