We are thrilled that St Michael’s School Chamber Choir will be singing at The Jersey Opera House in a concert entitled ‘Love Stories’ presented by Music in Action on Saturday the 25th of January at Noon. The concert is in aid of the Oscar Maclean Foundation.

Sport at St Michael's is delivered within three distinct strands; Physical Education, Swimming and Games. Games lessons offer provision for team sports in football, hockey, rugby, netball, rounders, cricket and tennis.

To mark its 70th anniversary, St Michael’s will be holding their Festival of Lessons and Carols in St Thomas’ Church for the first time this year. It will be held on Thursday, 5 December at 16:30.

We are pleased to announce that we have a new recruit joining the St Michael’s team. Mr Vincent Holden M.Ed., BSc (Hons), PGCE, FRSB has agreed to become our new Deputy Head after meeting governors, staff and pupils over the last few weeks.

As you may be aware, this Christmas we are supporting three charities in their endeavours to help local people. This morning we were lucky enough to be visited by our third and final charity, Make a Wish Jersey, to see how the money we raise through our Christmas Sale would go to helping terminally ill children in our community.

With our traditional Christmas Sale just around the corner, staff, pupils and parents are already designing their stalls, creating projects to sell and coming up with ways to fundraise for our three local charities. Today we wanted to tell you more about the event, as well as why it’s so important to our school, as well as the local community.

This morning St Michael’s staff and pupils, along with many other schools and organisations, gathered to remember 101 years since the end of the First World War. At St Michael’s this is an important event for students and teachers to both learn of and mark an event that shaped history.
