Sports Relief - March 2016
As part of Sport Relief all the children and staff of St Michael's School dressed up as a sports personality or in their favourite sports kit. There were footballers, tennis and badminton players, rugby or hockey players, gymnasts, skiers, wrestlers, cyclists or horse-riders. All the children in Years 3 to 8 were asked to donate £2.00 donation for Sports Relief.
In addition to dressing up, teams of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children took part in a relay race to run their Sport Relief Mile in school. The children passed the baton between their teams, whilst dressed in House bibs and worked as a team to complete their mile long run. Children in these years are raising money through sponsorship and to-date they have raised over £2,000!
