Pre-Prep Potato growing competition
Pre-Prep children at St Michael's took part in the island wide competition to grow as many potatoes as they could and the heaviest crop of potatoes. Mr Peter Tabb came to school to pull up our potatoes and give us the results. The children looked after the potatoes very well, watering, singing and talking to them regularly. They helped Mr Tabb count the potatoes as they were uncovered and were excited to find out the results.
Miss Weston's class had the heaviest yield of potatoes with 810.2g and Miss Hyde's class grew the most potatoes with 32 Jersey Royals grown.
Well done everyone!
